Dress Up Your Favorite Dishes With Peaches This Week!

Peaches aren’t just for desserts. Try grilling or roasting to sweeten your savory meals. Add these to your dinner this week!

Peach Salsa | Yield: Serves 6-8 

Ingredients

  • 1lb ripe tomatoes, diced

  • 2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and finely diced

  • 1 onion, finely diced

  • 1 bell pepper (4oz), seeded and finely diced

  • 1 ½ lbs ripe peaches, diced (no need to peel)

  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice

  • ½ bunch fresh cilantro, chopped

  • ½ salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Start by dicing the tomatoes and placing them into a large mixing bowl. 

  2. Finely dice the bell pepper, jalapeños, and onion. Then, place them into the mixing bowl with the tomatoes. 

  3. Dice the peaches, cutting them into slightly larger chunks to taste the flavor. Once diced, add peaches to the mixing bowl. 

  4. Add in the herbs and seasonings. Include the chopped cilantro, salt, black pepper, and lime juice. 

  5. Combine the ingredients together in the mixing bowl until evenly distributed. 

  6. Serve with chips and enjoy cold!

Spicy Peach BBQ Sauce | Yield: 1 ½ cups or 24 tbsp | Serving Size: 1 tbsp


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe peaches, chopped and peeled

  • 1 cup tomato sauce

  • ½ peach preserves

  • ¼ cup honey

  • ¼ cup brown sugar

  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • Pinch of cayenne pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the tomato sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, cayenne pepper, chopped peaches, and Worcestershire sauce. Place mixture over medium heat.

  2. Stir together and bring to a slight boil. Let simmer for around 10 minutes, or until the sauce thickens and the peaches have softened. Add in the peach preserves while stirring until thoroughly infused. 

  3. Remove the sauce from heat and let cool before serving. Sauce can be refrigerated for up to 3 days. Enjoy!
